Polanski trying to finish 'Ghost' in jail :

Director Roman Polanski is continuing to work on his film "The Ghost" from his jail cell in Switzerland and expects to deliver it on time before the end of the year.

Swiss authorities arrested Polanski, 76, on a U.S. warrant stemming from his 1977 charge of having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl. The director fled the U.S. in 1978, fearing the judge was going to toss out a plea bargain and send him to prison for up to 50 years. He has remained in France ever since, refusing even to fly to L.A. to receive his best director Oscar for "The Pianist" in 2003.

"The Ghost" is the story of a former British Prime Minister, played by Pierce Brosnan, who is accused of war crimes. Ewan McGregor plays a ghostwriter who uncovers his dark secret after he is hired to complete the Prime Minister's memoirs.

Miley Calls Twitter Rumor ‘Stupid’ :

Cyrus said that she needs to step away from Twitter so that she can separate her personal and professional lives and distance herself from the “negativity” the Internet makes “so available.”

In the wake of Miley Cyrus' abrupt departure from Twitter last week, the "Hannah Montana" star has released both a statement and a rap explaining why she left the micro-blogging Web site. In addition to saying that her rumored boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, had nothing to do with her departure from the site, where she readily wrote about the most mundane activities in her life, she said she now wants to keep her private life private.

Guthrie director takes spotlight in 'Faith Healer' :

Dowling had directed "Faith Healer" many times but never acted in it. He said he thought he would never do the play again after the death 10 years ago of Irish actor Donal McCann, whom Dowling had directed in the title role of Frank Hardy, the huckster who actually may be a healer.

Dowling makes his American acting debut as the title character — an itinerant Irish miracle-worker — in Brian Friel's "Faith Healer.

"Faith Healer" was a flop when it debuted on Broadway in 1979, with James Mason in the starring role. But a 2006 Broadway revival with Ralph Fiennes as Frank Hardy was a success. The three-character drama is a set of monologues by Hardy, his wife Grace and talent manager Teddy as they each give their version of the stillbirth of Grace's baby.
